Established in July 1984. KV Gandhinagar Cantt Situated between the capital city of Gandhinagar and Chiloda is “Miniature India” in
itself. It firmly believes in the ethos of “The world is one family” as it fulfills the educational needs of wide cross section of
students, especially the wards of defence personnel,
paramilitary forces and transferable central govt. employees.
Completely maneuvered by the Principal, with an active support group of VMC,PTA and highly committed staff of
51 Members ,the school is marching towards excellence. present
strength of students is 900.

fulfill futuristic societal, national and global needs and
aspirations.
Mission of the Vidyalaya
:
The Kendriya Vidyalayas have a four - fold mission, viz.,
1. To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defence
and Para -military personnel by providing a common programme of education ;
2. To pursue excellence and set the pace
in the field of school education;
3. To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National
Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT)
etc.
4. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of "Indian
